Guinness here. There was a torrential wind storm in the Annapolis Valley. No one has seen anything like it. Transport trucks flipped over on the highways, power was out, and trees fell down like matchsticks.

And this tree fell down in our driveway! Good thing the cars were out front!

Now we are driving up to Crick Hollow to check on the little cabin. We are scared. It doesn't look good.

...... Oh oh.

The tree scuffed the front of the camp. Another few feet and it would have flattened it completely!

I guess someone out there was keeping watch over the camp after all, huh?

We have to cut up the tree so we can get in the cabin.

Good thing my human brought the chain saw!

I help move all the brush to the brush pile.

Well, we will have lots of fire wood this year....

  1. Wow. Good thing the humans have you to help! And yes...lots of firewood. Be sure your humans feed you lots of extra food for all your hard work. WOOOOF at them for extra treats too!

  2. That must have been really scary! I am so glad your camp was spared, but so much work for you to do. Do you think it was actually Groucho's alien friends visiting and causing mayhem?

  3. We have a feeling Sage was watching over your cabin. The weather has been crazy here too. Wind and ran. You sure are a big helper. But let the human work the chain saw

  4. We can handle lots of natural events, but those wind storms are something else. We try to keep the biggest trees away from the house. That was a close call at camp.

  5. OMD!! What a big tree! Good thing you were there to help out!

  6. Violent weather is furry scary to me! Were you scared, Guinness?

    Have fun with the cleanups!

  7. There seems to be very dramatic weather in a lot of places at the moment! Not nice at all!

We are very glad that your cabin was saved but what a big clean-up!

    take care

  8. I bet Saige helped to keep that tree from crushing the little cabin! What a nice Christmas blessing.

    Nubbin wiggles,

  9. That was a ferocious storm! You'll have some firewood though. We're very happy that there was no real damage.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  10. Sounds like a straight winds storm or maybe even a tornado. So glad no one was hurt and the cabin is OK. What a good helper you are, Guinness - Santa will remember that.

    Happy Holidays.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

  11. I'm so glad the tree fell the way it did. Wow, winged and legged angels must have been watching over it.

  12. Could have been much worse eh!

    Merry Christmas <3

  13. Good job on the heavy lifting Guinness!! Glad the cabin was safe from the storm...I sure think someone was watching out for it!

  14. Yep, more firewood. And I thought the same thing... maybe Sage was watching?
