The Hermit of North Mountain TAKE TWO
Guinness here! We are having trouble with blogger so we are reposting the Hermit story. Hopefully this one works better because Groucho will be really mad if you don't read HIS adventure. He he. So yeah, big mistake, I went to the groomer and they gave me "THE GROUCHO".
And that is my human dad in the tractor laughing at me. But never mind that. Speaking of Groucho, we've got some bigger fish to fry. It all started when we drove up the NORTH MOUNTAIN
Look who it is. Turns out his spaceship took a crash landing. He has been roughing it in these wild parts the past few weeks. Groucho has grown a beard and he forages for herbs and berries in the forest to survive.
He said he has taken up company with the Mountain dwellers. That is really sketchy business if you ask me. The folks of the NORTH MOUNTAIN normally only make their presence known if there is an exhibition or fair going on down in the Valley. Gulp.
Groucho starts a fire. He levitates up in the trees. He said he will catch a bird and roast it for our dinner. But Groucho does not catch a bird this night.
Instead, he throws me a handful of herbs and an old bone he dug up from the compost pile for my dinner. BON APPETITE!
Groucho says he bought shares in an oil company off the coast of Newfoundland. They are drilling a "SPECIAL FUEL" for him so he can power up his ship and get off the NORTH MOUNTAIN. He says you should call him Groucho Adams until then.

The "Drop Off"
Guinness here. Uh Oh. I hear something up there. Something small and scared.
It is a little tuxedo kitty. Someone dropped it off at the farm then bailed.
It is sad...but that is what happens sometimes at the farm.
This is the sweetest kitty. She MEOWS very loud for attention and really wants to be around us all the time. She will not make a good barn cat, she cries when we leave her. Poor sweet kitten.
Look! She has lovely olive eyes and long white whiskers!
She has a big bush tail and double front paws--like mittens.
Look how tiny she is. But she is not afraid of the big, noisy tractor...Wednesday, July 6, 2011
