Outing to Town

Guinness here at the keyboard. Mom took a "mental health day" off work ...hehehe! So we are going to walk into town to surprise our Dad at HIS work!

We are taking the trails through the woods into Town instead of the roads. That way the cars won't run into each other anymore when they see us. Since we are going "Into Town" we wear our best threads from Egypt.

We find an old apple tree and have a feast! Nom nom nom!

BUUURRRPP!!!!!! Hehehe....

Now we have a little rest to digest all those frozen apples.

Here is our Dad's old grain mill. It is romantic to mill your own grain for sure... but it takes a lot of time...so now he has it up for sale.

Look who we find in the Town office! It is our Dad!

Our Dad is the CAO for the Town but everyone knows it is these girls who run the show. And they give us lots of treats and kisses!

Me and Saige went into Dads office and found DONUTS on his desk! And in the GARBAGE CAN we found...

...the HEALTHY SNACKS MOM MADE FOR HIM.... UH OH!!!!!!

  7. Okay, every time mom goes to your website, she swears she is getting a Wolfie. And someone suggested we name our new boy Wolfie! I have to laugh about that one, because it would be like naming him Labrador. Mom thought of calling him Corgi at one point.

Anyway, I wish I had your trails. This city living really sucks sometime, even for a cosmopolitan, urbanista girl like me.

My new brother is still nameless, but soon .....

  8. I'm a firm believer that all pets should be allowed to go to work with us. Then we wouldn't need to take mental health days!

  10. Oh yes!! Having a mom with healthy mentals is most important. That was a grrreat walk into town. It was very much nice of you to share yourselves with your dad's co-workers. I am sure that it improved their mentals too!! Donuts!! What a find!! Nice hunting.

  21. We think humans should take more mental health days and take us around to surprise people. What a great way to spend a day.

Wags and kisses from your friends Seamus and Maeve in Ohio. Wish WE got to walk through the woods. But we do make cars run into each other. :)

  25. Hiya Guinness and Saige - oh, how dapper you both look sporting your jaunty red bandanas, we love it! Such great photos - we'd probably crash our car too if we were driving past and saw Saige and her endless legs sauntering past (wistful sighs...!) Well, we would if we drove of course, he he he! Your dad's in trouble - uh-oh! We hope you helped him out of a hole and ate his donuts for him to cover his tracks! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.

  26. Oh Saige & Guinness - am so sorry I've not come visiting for ages!! Hsin-Yi was away overseas at this Ian Dunbar conference and then when she came back, our Google Reader was on 164 and when it gets like that, she just becomes like an ostrich and tries to hide from it and pretend it isn't there...and now our Google Reader is on 241 - aaaarrrggghh!! So I have forced her to sit down and help me visit some friends otherwise it's going to be the dreaded "Mark all as read" button!!

Anyway, what a great outing! I just love your red bandanas...so stylish! That last photo is just gorgeous! And how exciting - I have never been inside an office before (Paul works in a place where you cut people open in a hospital - I don't think they would let me in there to visit him!) - but can I ask - what does CAO mean?

    Slobbers,
    Honey the Great Dane
