Guinness is the Icing on the Cake

Christa turns 20 today so mom made this hideous cake.

It is suppose to be Christa doing her favorite things--Kayaking, hiking and camping!
But something was missing--ME! So mom took bits of cake and icing and made me. And I am huge! Way bigger than the tent and everything on the cake!

HAHAHAHA!!!

So now the cake is much better, now that I am the center piece.

Light Housekeeping or Lighthouse Keeping?

Our mom is so silly. Years ago...when she was 18, she thought she would move to Ontario for a summer job. It was a hot-shot thing to do for an East Coast girl to go to the BIG CITY--hehehe! Well she applied for a job for babysitting, with some light housekeeping duties. She told the lady she would be perfect for the job, because she was from Nova Scotia, and knew all about light houses. Oh dear....

Bailey

Guinness here with an important newsflash. Mom finally remembered where she left her glasses--At the Camp-- So after work we took a quick drive out. That is a pretty good deal for a week night-huh?
Well, shortly after we arrived some people came walking up our road. They were having their own adventure, and that is the first time we ever met anyone way out in the woods at our camp. And they had THIS! A Jack Russell Terrier named Bailey! And she came walking up our road like it was her job!!!

But I was a gentleman and gave her a tour of the Doghouse.

She checked it all over and went in all these places that we have never been--like under the chairs, in back of the stove, up the stairs...this was a woman who knew what she wanted.

I am not embarrassed to admit I was enamored with her. I gave her a nice kiss goodbye.

After that excitment I really needed to cool off, so we walked down to the lake. And I went in further than ever before. See how proud I am of myself? This was no ordinary day you know!

I did not not want to go home. So I pretended I had business to do in the woods about 50 times. That trick got old real quick.

But finally I got in the car. Afterall, if you don't go SOMETIME, there will never be a NEXT TIME--will there? So see you next time---love Guinness.

AFRICA!

This is Saige. Ummm..see that big tree way over there above my head? Mom calls that place "Africa". So when she asks us if we want to go to Africa, it really means, the farm. Our mom has never been to Africa and there are most likely no trees like this in Africa, but if she thinks it is Africa then we won't tell her the difference. *Cuckoo, Cuckoo*

GRRRRR...Africa--lions and elephants and tigers---GRRRRR--HAHAHA!

Well, c'mon Guinness, it's a long way to Africa--cough cough.

Whew--well, we are getting close now... but I need to sit down for a minute. Guinness will tell the rest of the adventure.

Ummm...so here is the Tree.

...and you can see there is still an old blind once used for hunting de...Gazelles. Wild African Gazelles.

Climb on up there Saige. Here, I'll give you a bum boost.

Easy now.....

HAHAHA!! Sucker. What do you think you are, a Tennessee Tree Brindle? hehe!

Hope you enjoyed the Safari.
