Seven months ago Guinness was in a horrible accident. He was hit by a car and smashed his left front leg to pieces. He had to be taken to the Atlantic Vet College over on Prince Edward Island. He had 2 surgeries to fix his front leg, but strangely his back legs also stopped working. So he was a 1 legged dog. We took him home but had to carry him with towels--one person on the back towel, and one on the front. After a while he wanted to walk but neurologically his back legs just didn't seem to work, they wobbled all over the place and wouldn't support his weight. Slowly, with lots of $upport and Love, here is Guinness 7 months later....

YES!! we are so proud of Guinness, he is back almost to normal now, he is healthy and happy and feels no pain! Thanks Joey and Zeke!
ReplyDeletePoor Guinness! It's a big challenge that was made even bigger by his size.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, he had you as his family.

No doubt due to the TLC from his family.(and maybe the Vet!) Go Guinness!

What a horrible accident and what a fantastic recovery Guinness made. The little man's mum has had two hip replacements and two dislocations so she knows all about having metal in her legs and it's not fun!
ReplyDeleteGlad that Guinness recovered so well.
Lots of woofs
