Mom wanted hens so last week Dad made this silly hen house out of an old grain silo. Hehehe! Now there is eggs, and every day we go collect them. Mom says it feels special to gather eggs, we say it is special to eat omlets. The hens can free range during the day, then go home at night. Every day a hen will lay one egg. When she thinks she has enough, she will sit on them until they hatch, so a 20 day old egg will hatch the same time as an egg that was laid on the last day! Kewl-huh? But there is no rooster, so there would be no chicks... so we take the eggs each day, and then the next day, there will be more treasures to collect. It is an Easter Egg hunt everyday now!
