The Splorin' Wolfies has a very good ending. Please come back and check soon as I am gathering the inspiration to share you with the wolfhound chapter of my life. The chapter that will be here for me always in these pictures, in these 9 years ..in these wonderful, glorious, wolfhound years. They went on and on--day after day, year after year--I thought, "surely they will come to an end, surely the time will someday come." And it did not come, for years and years and day after day--there they always were ...and so every day I cherished the blessing of them, took note of it. I hope you will visit them over the years when you need a lift or a smile. What is life without turning back the pages briefly, to our favorite chapter..and smiling a little smile. Wolfie mamma

Has this chapter ended?
ReplyDeleteyes--with a peaceful ending. please check again in time.
DeleteMy favorite 'splore was the Gates of Argonath. Those goofballs sure made for some fun and memorable adventures. I enjoyed your trips to the little cottage -- and sometimes you'd run into an alien!
ReplyDeleteNow they are 'splorin at the bridge, waiting for you...
it is really nice to hear that--that was way back in 2009 or something? thank you for remembering and sharing that.

Deletefound it! Those were back in the Saige days. Time makes fools of us all
I realize now I was vague once again-most posting towards the end was more on Facebook so yes--Maggi went softly in my arms on Mothers day, Guinnes in his sleep on Canada day...neither suffered a wink. I have much to share and write about it all. when I am ready.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you were with them and saw that there was no suffering. You have opened a special place in my heart. Through your sharing I was able to remember with joy the life of my own Wolfie, Truce.
ReplyDeleteI like to think that there has been a very dignified elder Wolfhound waiting to greet them on the other side of the bridge. Where they all will be romping in their goofy ways!
Thank you for all the posts and happy times.
I've loved getting to know the Wolfies - they had a great life and that's the best we can hope to give them!
ReplyDeleteI don't check in often but when I do I usually go back though many of the older posts. They always make me smile and remind me to appreciate my boy more. Thank You Janice for taking the time to create and post this blog.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you and the family but unlike many of us you have the stories and pictures to remind all of us what a joy our companions are. Tale Care; Mal & Rohan
Thanks for sharing your beautiful Wolfies with us these past few years. We're sorry to hear about your loss but know that all your pets have lived wonderful, charmed lives.
ReplyDeleteI loved your stories and photos. Hugs and love... We hope there will be new stories that you'll share with us.

I have loved so much coming to your site and seeing what the splorin wolfies (and Groucho) were up to. I visit from time to time and go back to adventures I adore. I am so sorry to hear that you are currently without wolfies but glad their passing was peaceful. Time for a little cry. Hope you are well.
