SPRINTER!

Hi! It's Maggi! I am confused, maybe you can help me?

It seems VERY hot up there!

The sky feels so blue!

But down here in the snow, it is cold!

Hmmmm. How can it be so cold...AND so hot at the same time? It seems like it is not quite SPRING, but not really WINTER anymore either...

Wait a minute. I know! It must be SPRINTER! And to make sure Spring comes this year...

I have to SPRINT into SPRING! WEEEEEEE!

Seasonal Gifts from the Herb Garden

Hi! It's Guinness. Look! I got some special treats in the mail today--all the way from OKLAHOMA!

It's true! Parsley and Sage over at "Seasons" made us this gorgeous collage! It is our life for the past 3 years...and we can hold it in our hands...er...paws! It is hard to stop looking at it. We get lost in it and see new things and remember different times everytime we look at. Isn't it nice that someone would go through my bloggy from beginning to end and find all the best pictures and put them in one place?

And look! Parsley stitched this! It says home is where the HOUND is! Haha!

OHHHHH... Maggi agrees! Hehehe.

Best of all...I got a honking DUCK! And I would not put it down. HONK HONK HONK!

Not even in the car...

Not even for a walk....and when Groucho shows up I don't even care.

I even pee with my new duck. I won't let it go.

Go away Groucho. I do not want to play with you today. Leave me alone. HONK HONK HONK

Everyone go away. I want to be with my duck--ok?

Now it is night time. Finally I sit down for a rest. Besides, I need to take this opportunity to thank Parsley and Sage for their generous act of kindness. It is very humbling that people want to do such nice things for us. It touches our hearts. We have a WOLFIE WALL we are getting ready to show everyone with all our special wolfie gifts...stay tuned!

Groucho Loses Mangominster, Crashes Westminster

Guinness here. Oh dear. Look at the Alien. He just found out he totally bombed at Mangominster. Ho hum.

I thought he took it pretty well. That is until I tuned into WESTMINSTER...and GASP! Who do you think I saw?

It's true. He must have used his alien super powers and landed a spot in the show ring. You can see the video of him here. You don't have to watch for long...he is up first, right after the ad. Gulp. I almost couldn't watch-- I couldn't believe the stunt he was pulling.

Looks like he grew his hair out for the big event, but make no mistake, it is definately him.

Bad news. Groucho didn't place at Westminster. I don't know what he was thinking. Now we are all bracing for his return. Who knows what he is going to do...GULP.

Pollyanna

Hehehe. It's Guinness. Maggi is teaching me a new game. It is called the GLAD GAME. Have you heard of it? Well, you have to make a BAD thing or a SAD thing...or a MAD thing... turn into a GLAD thing.

Here is how it works. Maggi says everyone is complaining about the snow. So she has turned that into a GLAD thing. Look! See the snow banks? Maggi can walk this old road without her leash!

See how happy she is. She loves it. She feels so confident and proud. She maps out the width of the road and feels the huge snow banks on either side!

She feels the slope of the snow bank when they first start to taper. See how she kind of walks with her wrists first? That is how she does it. She can also feel bits of gravel that the snow plow kicked up near the edge of the road.

So she can walk right along the rim and feel her way. She can also hear me, and she hears the humans too. They keep a very close eye on Maggi. They do NOT want her to lose her confidence. She gets lots of cues.

If Maggi miscalculates, she just runs up the soft snowbank a little ways like this... then she corrects herself.

Now she can go back and forth between the snowbanks. She knows they are there! She loves being able to go at her own pace. She loves to stop and take time to smell all the interesting smells! Hmmm..I wonder what she smells back there--hehehe--oops!

Maggi is thriving and she is finally getting to do all the things that normal dogs get to do.

...and that is something to be very GLAD about, don't you think?

Making Snow Angels Aliens

Alrighty then.....
