Hi..I am Groucho--and here is my story...

FROM THE YARMOUTH SPCA:

Poor Groucho and his fur-brother came to us because their owner no longer wanted them and was moving away. They became very depressed after entering the shelter and barely ate, and because our kennels are not big enough to house two dogs, we had to separate them. All day they howled and called to each other, it would have broke your heart. Groucho's brother was lucky enough to be adopted, but now Groucho is more depressed than ever. We are pretty sure he knows his brother is gone, but still he calls for him all day. It's the most mournful pitiful howl you have ever heard. We need to get Groucho out of the shelter as soon as possible and we are looking for someone who is familiar with Afghan Hounds and realize how much is required not only for their general care, but also for the grooming that is involved. Groucho is clipped, which makes grooming a bit easier, but if you want to let the hair grow long so that he looks like an Afghan Hound should, you need to realize this is full time care, with regular grooming. He is a lovely, handsome boy, who just loves going out for walks. Can you please find it in your heart to help poor Groucho out, he will love you fur-ever. All Dogs & Puppies come with a Pedigree Adoption Kit!
I was in great distress at the shelter even though all the nice people were so good to me. It is us LUCKY dogs that make it to a shelter you know, where we will be safe and warm with food and shelter. But I am a sight hound you see...so I have a flare for the dramatic.
So this human came with this nice bed and said I was going home with her as a foster dog--because I needed to be in a home with my own kind!

Well, you bet I jumped right in without a second thought...

Look how happy I am! I haven't smiled for weeks!

Well it is a long ride all the way from Yarmouth --so I might as well get comfy!

Well, I haven't had a good night sleep in a long time so I stay in here where I am safe and warm. And there was no trouble with me at all. I just made myself right at home.

I do not wimper or whine or make a big deal about anything. It was all a big show and I tricked everyone--hehehe!!!

Those big dogs even let me use their luxuries--they are wolfhounds and aren't too bothered by me. So everything is OK and I am safe and secure...and that is all that matters for right now.

Hurricane Bill--Guinness' Warning!

Huricane Bill missed us for the most part, but it did bring some choppy, powerful waves. Here I am in the video trying to get everyone to come back from the dangerous cliffs. Silly humans.

DraGuinn

Hey there. When we went to the moon I narrowly escaped the aliens. They did manage to slime me.

Dogpollo 18 "Lunar Rovers Mission"

Hey, it's us. Even though we didn't do much for vacation Saige and I did manage a trip to the moon.

We got a research grant to find out the connection betweens dogs and the moon, and why we sometimes howl at it.

Saige went down to ground level to explore the moon surface.

She had excellent camouflage incase there were Extra Terrestrials.

That is one Giant Leap for Dogkind.

Meanwhile, I stayed up in the observation deck and kept my eyes peeled.

Saige became the first dog to discover water on the moon, and we have the first pictures of that historic moment right here. So Saige is really famous now, you'll probably be hearing about it sometime soon.

Anyways, we now have conclusive evidence suggesting that dogs howl at the Moon because they are thirsty and want a drink of water. Roger that, over and out.

The New Dog Free Zone

So I bet you thought we went on all sorts of adventures on our vacation? Neeee-ope!
It was a whole lot of this...

And a whole lot of that...

BECAUSE OF THIS! Our human had a project to clean the porch, because it was waist high in junk.

And now there is a nice sun room to relax in--but apparantly it is a dog-free zone!

But at night time our human snuck downstairs and found this on the bed...

The Wonderful Girl. The Wonderful Brother.

It is so hot these days, so we went to the ocean and look at these friends we met!
And one of them slobbered all over Saige--look! Beautiful Honey http://bighoneydog.com/ is having a drooling contest and we hope she will consider this for an entry, since us Wolfhounds don't slobber.

And our human got a present in the mail from her brother! He sent funny coasters from Scotland where he was on vacation! Imagine how nice it would be to visit that beautiful country! I guess these are really COAST to COASTERS, eh? Hehehe! This coaster says that our human is a Chocolate Button of LOVELINESS in the great caramel Pudding of LIFE. C've some???

And this Coaster says that our human is "The Wonderful Girl", and she is "Beautiful and Strong and everyone who meets her LOVES her and she spreads HAPPINESS wherever she goes. And she is not even afraid of SPIDERS" Hahaha!

And it was a code red for our human. Here is her camera --so there was going to be no bloggy for a while. And that very same week that VERY same brother sent a brand new digital camera for our human's 37th birthday! Can you believe that? What impecable timing, huh! So now the "Wonderful Girl" is busy snapping new pictures and taking us on new adventures and life is great.
But what we want to know is....
WHERE DO WE SIGN UP TO GET A BROTHER LIKE THAT?
*thank-you Pete&Suz-- love ya,mean it...
